File extension ocx information

File extension OCX was created by Microsoft Corporation and works with a program known as ActiveX control previously known as Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) Control Extension. The above program is special purpose which can be created specifically for the use of applications that run on Windows systems belonging to Microsoft. Among the functions that .OCX files provide are the resizing of Window and handling the movement of the scroll bar. Users who have Windows system have several files in their Window directory that has the OCX suffix of file name.
OLE was created to give support to compound documents which have several information types like graphic images, motion video, sound, and text. The desk top belonging to Windows is one example of compound documents and OLE was used by Microsoft to make it. Compound Object Model (COM) and OLE give support to the development of programs of the “plug-and –play” nature. Any language can be used to write these programs and any application inside the system can use them dynamically. These programs are referred to as components and container is the name of the application that runs them.
